This is a pneumatic 4.5 mm air pistol which relies on manual charging by means of a hand lever on the other side of the gun. It is a two stroke action, opening the lever opens the breech, lets air into the cylinder and sets the trigger. Closing the lever, closes the breech and compresses the air ready for the next shot. Note the long extension piece carrying the foresight, this is to maximise sighting accuracy by increasing the sight radius. Also see the balance weight on its rail under the front of the body, this is to improve damping movement due to body tremor.
