.44 Magnum (Ruger) close-up of cylinder

Like most revolvers (but not all) this Ruger is a 6 shot gun. The strength of construction is evident in this view, it would take a gross overload to do any damage. In use, especially in timed fire events, the gun can become very hot. Too hot to maintain hand contact on either cylinder or barrel in fact after about 40 shots. Vibration can also be a problem and this particular gun has had the foresight fall off in use!
